Once upon a time, we were non-believers. We were like Ruth, a novice, who followed the ways of the people. She decided to serve the true and living God instead of a false god. We too have a choice to choose life or death, a blessing or a curse. I present to you Ruth's Love Story, and I ask that you let my God Jesus be your God.
The Poetess
The Poetess {a female poet}
Taylor, Victoria Ruth. (2011). The way I see me.
When I look in the mirror--
I see this reflection of a person I have known to be me.
Is this really who I am--
Because when I am not looking,
I picture myself as a different person than what others can see.
My laugh is joyous,
But does my facial expression
match the gusto I feel--when I burst into laughter.
And when I cry, I feel deep sympathy,
But does my facial expression match how deep I can sob.
When I am excited, my heart pounds so heavily that I can hardly breathe,
But what is my face saying, in that moment of delight.
This face I have been given for this life in which I live,
But the face I see is so much more than what I see in the mirror.
Yes, the image in the mirror is a clear reflection of me,
And I shall never forget the shape of my nose,
The cut of my lips,
The roundness of my head,
The tinkle in my eyes,
And the shape of my brows.
From without, this is what you see,
But from within, I can truly see me.
